New York's Times Square briefly turned into a cordoned-off zone Monday morning after a man reportedly left a “suspicious object” near the 42nd Street–Times Square subway entrance and walked away, according to WABC-TV.

The NYPD’s bomb squad responded quickly, closing off Seventh Avenue between 42nd and 44th Streets and evacuating nearby areas as a precaution. Fortunately, authorities deemed the object non-threatening, and normal street traffic resumed shortly after.
